ISO 9001:2008 Registration

Princeton, NJ (December 27, 2013) - Mission1st Group, Inc. has successfully achieved the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 9001:2008 Quality Management System Registration.

The ISO 9001:2008 is a quality standard that outlines a process approach to implementing and supporting a Quality Management System. The standard is recognized globally as the framework for effective, customer-focused organizational systems. ISO 9001:2008 is the most current version of the quality standard.

The presence of an ISO 9001:2008 quality system demonstrates that Mission1st meets the requirements for defense business processes in high-end program management, IT systems engineering, IT mission operations, and IT technical assistance for the US government and US government prime contractors. The recognition of Mission1st as an ISO 9001:2008 registered company exhibits an overall commitment to excellence and continuous improvement.

Third party registration and certification was completed by Performance Review Institute (PRI) Registrar. PRI Registrar, an affiliate of SAE International, is a premier quality systems registrar and provider of certification services for Management and Quality Systems.

ISO 20000-1:2011 Registration

Princeton, NJ (MAY 26, 2016) - Mission1st Group, Inc. has successfully achieved the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 20000-1:2011 Service Management Standard (SMS) Registration.

ISO 20000-1:2011 is the first ever international standard for IT service management. Its main focus is continual improvement of IT services. The standard works by setting benchmarks for companies based on evidence. Achieving these benchmarks proves that a company is capable of consistent excellence. It specifies requirements for the service provider to plan, establish, implement, operate, monitor, review, maintain and improve an SMS. The requirements include the design, transition, delivery and improvement of services to fulfil agreed service requirements. .A certificate in this service management standard (SMS) ensures customers the services this company provides are reliable, efficient, and of great quality. It sets specific requirements for multiple controls that ultimately improve an SMS. This standard can be utilized by any company that wishes to achieve best practices standards of IT service management. It provides customers with peace of mind through consistent, high quality service with an ISO 20000 certification.

ISO 27001:2013 Registration

Princeton, NJ (MAY 26, 2016) - Mission1st Group, Inc. has successfully achieved the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 27001:2013 Information Security Management System (ISMS) Registration.

ISO 27001:2013 is an information security standard that was published on the 25th September 2013. It is a specification for an information security management system (ISMS). The 2013 standard puts more emphasis on measuring and evaluating how well an organization's ISMS is performing. More attention is paid to the organizational context of information security and risk assessment. Organizations which meet the standard may be certified compliant by an independent and accredited certification body on successful completion of a formal compliance audit.

Appraised at CMMI-SVC/DEV Level 3

June 2015, Princeton, NJ - Mission1st Group, Inc. announced that it has been appraised at an organization-wide Maturity Level 3 (ML3) rating in Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) version 1.3 under dual constellations: Development (DEV) and Services (SVC). The appraisal was performed by Common Sense Solution.

An appraisal at ML3 indicates the organization is performing at a "defined" level. At this level, processes are well characterized and understood, and are described in standards, procedures, tools, and methods. The organization's set of standard processes, which is the basis for ML3, is established and improved over time.

The CMMI-SVC ML3

Provides guidance for applying CMMI best practices in a service provider organization. Best practices in the model focus on activities for providing quality services to customers and end users. CMMI-SVC integrates bodies of knowledge that are essential for a service provider. Used for process improvement in organizations that develop products. CMMI-DEV ML3 provides guidance for process improvement across a project, department, or organization that will lead to lower costs, improved quality, and on time delivery of products and services. CMMI-DEV ML3 guidance covers the life cycles of products from conception through delivery and maintenance. CMMI-DEV ML3 best practices are flexible enough to apply to a variety of industries, yet stable and consistent enough to provide a benchmark against which your organization can measure and compare itself.
